.bashrc error

Hi,

when I try to start MiniVend (i.e. I type /root/mvend/bin/start) I get
this error message I can't understand:


bash: /root/.bashrc: Permission denied
bash: /root/mvend/bin/start: Permission denied


Many thanks for any suggestions.

(The MiniVend is 3.14 on RedHat 6.0 Pentium PC)
