RE: Need Help Installing Minivend

There's an excellent book written about a year and a half ago (Perl 5) available on Amazon.com.  One of the great things about it is that while it gives a beginner's introduction to Perl 5, it also has a complete chapter on Minivend.  While it will not walk you through setting up the whole system, it is a great companion resource to the online documentation.  (I am not getting any $ for saying this and I didn't write it, just read it.)

PS (how's that for a nice-spririted RTFM?)_

Subject: Need Help Installing Minivend

******    message to minivend-users from David Martin <dmartin8@bellsouth.net>     ******

I'm very new to minivend and I know the very, very least about perl or
installing minivend. The only thing I have accomplished was downloading
it and putting it on my unix server using FTP. I believe that I need to
decompress and untar the file but I don't know where to start.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!
