Passing discounted total along

I am trying to discount the entire total of an order.

I'm using a simple [discount ENTIRE_ORDER] tag, but the newly discounted sub-
total is not passed on from form to form.  I have to put the [discount] tag 
on every page!

This works all the way up to the end when the wrong subtotal is passed on to 
Cybercash.
I've seen some older posts regarding the issue, but I couldn't find a 
resolution.  Am I crazy?

How do I pass the discounted subtotal through to subsequent forms after the 
initial discount is applied?
