MySQL database

****** message to minivend-users from "=?iso-8859-1?Q?Jorge_C._L=F3pez?=" <negocios@negociosenlinea.com> ******

Hi all.
I am Newbie, both with minivend an MySQL (started just few days ago) I have
been using minivend since, and I have modifyed the apearance, the products
database, the locale.asc database, and some other simple things. I tried to
learn MySQL, so I can use minivend with it. I started looking for tutarials,
and other docs over internet, and started the use of databases directly from
the unix shell access on my ISP. Then I found a CGI perl based program
called MyAdmin, I configured it and set it up on my server so I can manage
my databases with a web interface, then I had acces to my Databases.
There were only two database which I could modify, one called the same as my
domain name without "www" and "com" and other with my user name (also the
user name I used as "Master" with minivend) the first one didnt have
anything, but for my surprise the second one (the one called as my user
name) had all the minivend fields referring to price, product, description
etc.
I was learning how Myadmin works, so I started pressing all buttons and opts
to see what happened. Then I see a button that said: "Drop selected
database", I dont understand english very well so I didnt undersand what
does "drop" meant exactly, I thought that it will probably save the database
to my disk (ridiculous, I know, but I am just a newbie, trying to discover
all the features of server side scripts and databases:) So I pressed it.
What did i do?: I deleted de Database.
I went back to my Minivend shop to see if it still worked, and it seemed
that everythig was all right.
So my question is:
Do minivend set up that MySQL database?
If not, What happened, how, and why? As I said before I am just a newbie,
and i DID NOT execute any rare comands on SQL or data conversions.
Can I reproduce the database again? if yes, How?
wauld that database worked to implement SQL with minivend?

I am really confused, so I will appreciate some answer to mu Quiestions,

Have a Nice Day,

Thanks!

Jorge Lopez.
