Re: RP: AuthorizeNet, CyberCash "Invalid card type" Error
****** message to minivend-users from "reuben" <reuben@anet-chi.com> ******
I recently ran into the same problem while installing
Cybercash 3.2. I'm not sure how proficient you are with
Cybercash/MV so I hope that I am not insulting anyone
by making the following suggestions. Disclaimer: Note
that I'm not that proficient with MV and I bearly
understood half of what was posted on this list (if that
gives you an idea).
The first thing is to check is --
Make sure that Cybercash works -before- installing it with
Minivend (someone on this list mentioned it before). Run
Cybercash's Express Setup and try out their test. Use
the Debug mode in Cybercash, and use the Visa/MC test
account numbers (4111 1111 1111 1111 should suffice).
If Cybercash doesn't see the transaction, then you have a
problem with your set up with Cybercash. Make sure the
test amount you use is less than $100 (it only works with
less than $100).
If that works, change the catalog configuration file of MV.
Incidentally, use MV 3.12 if you are using Cybercash 3.2.
I have never got MV 3.10 to work with Cybercash 3.2
even after heavy amounts of tweaking (see disclaimer).
Test that again using the Debug mode.
The one trick I tried was to test Cybercash 3.2 with the
simple demo provided in MV 3.12. If that works (and it
should cos I have tried it), then there is something wrong
with -your- programming, not MV.
eh.. hope that helps.
