new variables in userdb

Hi all,


I'd like to set up some new user options which can be selected in
checkout.html. This can be things like "yes put me on the mailinglist" and
other things. So I made a 

<input type="Checkbox" name="mailinglist"  value="[value mailinglist]"> and
made also a new coloumn in userdb called "mailinglist". So I select the
checkbox but minivend doesn't save it as checked. What did I wrong?

PS: there is a german mailinglist available: write "subscribe minivend-de"
    to majordomo@minivend.com
