MV 3.12: MV Crashes after failed login

Hi,

when I try to logon as a user which does not exists, I get the
errormessage "Fatal Error - User does not exists".
Fine.
But when I try to login with an useraccount which exists and a wrong
password, I get "Fatal Error - Password does not match" and MV crashes.
There is no entry in my error.logs.

Has anybody any ideas, hints?
