Tricky database question...
****** message to minivend-users from "David E. Wach" <david@clipper.net> ******
Ok, here's a tough one:
We've got a client who's selling shoes on the web. Now, with each shoe
style you have 3 attributes: size, width, and color. Not all widths are
available in all sizes, and not all colors - i.e. a size 7 shoe might not
come in a wide EEE (not to offend anybody out there with square feet :)
and a brown shoe might not come in sizes larger than 13.
Any suggestions on the best way to organize this data? If we just use
attribute fields on the product pages (i.e. dropdowns for size, width, and
color) then what would be the best way to error check the order?
Any thoughts would be appreciated.
Thanks!
-David
