UPS - I think I&#180;ve mixed things... At the end I was thinking of not using a
mysql-DB but updating the products.asc-file. Of course it is easy to update
a mysql-db just using select and such.

Okay - where is the drill-instructor? ;-)...

Perhaps I should write an upload-page that checks the transfered products.asc
for errors... 

BTW: What happens if they upload a file that has the same product-code for a
new product as an old product.
