upgrading perl to 5.00303

Hi all

	perl was recently upgraded from 5.00302 to 5.00303 in my server.  Minivend
runs fine except for one particular search page.  All the pages which uses
things like "scan" to do one click searches, or a form based searches work
as usual, except for one particular search form (a page very similar to the
demo simple page search), it wouldn't return any results at all.  The weird
thing is after the search is made, going back to the search pages which
worked before also doesn't return any results.
	could it be anything to do caches? tmp directories? as I've noticed that
it's not writing any files into the tmp directories.
	There are no error logs of how any perl component died or anything.
Has anybody else have similar problems?
