Correct format is (broken into pieces for clarity):
catalog URL:
"http://mydomain.com/cgi-bin/catalog.cgi"
optional page specifier:
"/scan/sf=Vendor/se=Widgets/ml=10"
then:
?<session id>;<session arg>;<integer or source>
