Buttons don't work

Hi, 

this question is especially for the users
that are using the locale.asc for
the german translation.

Can somebody tell me, why the buttons in the
basket.html and checkout.html aren't working
when the value is translated to german using
the [L] tag and the locale.asc. ??

After for example deleting the [L] tags in 
the buttons, the text in them are english
and they are working again.
