Number of records in [loop-search]

****** message to minivend-users from August Detlefsen <augustd@idiom.com> ******

Is there a way to get the number of records found in a [loop-search] tag?

I'm using [loop-search ...] for in-page nested searches and I want to be able to return the number of results found. It is easy enough to use perl to increment a scratch value every time the loop iterates, but then you only get the total number of results after the loop, at the bottom of the page.

Does anyone have a solution?
