I plan on doing something for both gift certificates and first time order
discounts with UserDB, but haven't had time. I thought it would be a
matter of adding a field to UserDB and having the basket and checkout
pages read the value. The report page would decrement the value. It's
something that you could verify via an off-line database after the order
before processing to prevent fraud (unless you are selling software
downloads). It doesn't sound too hard, just details, details.
