off topic but probably interesting for others : mailing copies of orders...
****** message to minivend-users from "Michael Radke" <mra@trendware.de> ******
Hi list,
i set up that order-copy-to-customer thing, works
very well. This is more a sendmail-question than a
minivend question...
When sending out that mail, the customer gets mail
from 'minivend@shopper.trendware.de' which is the
user on the shop server.
Now I am trying to get this changed to 'sales@company.com'
without any success so far...
Sendmail config mentions that this can be done using
-f option, so I expanded the sendmail-call :
open(Vend::FORMMAIL,"|$Vend::Cfg->{SendMailProgram} -f$reply -t") or last SEND;
..in order to change the sender's address (I also
tried -f $reply <-- with a space between, this did
not work also).
man sendmail explains :
-fname Sets the name of the ``from'' person (i.e., the sender of the
mail). -f can only be used by ``trusted'' users (normally
root, daemon, and network) or if the person you are trying to
become is the same as the person you are.
So I added the user minivend to the group 'daemon',
it still does not work.
Any sendmail suggestions ?
Best regards,
Michael Radke
