Have you thought of using the "PriceDivide" directive ?
I use 5 different currencies with the same products::price field and it works just fine. I think you could even define
two different USD prices by using something like en_US and en_UD and use a factor to convert from en_US (PriceDivide
1) and en_UD (Pricedivide 1.x).
