Shipping based on category or code.

I'm into having a flat fee for sales of $1-50, and $51+, etc., but we 
already know how to do that.

If we are shipping a larger item from a certain category can I tack on an
additional $10 to our already price based shipping?

I'm assuming the easiest way is to setup a shipping or uspg field in the
products.asc file and add a flat fee to that with most being $0 and the
exceptions like the larger items to $10, etc. How do I get this to be added
to the other shipping?

What's happening:
code    description     criteria        min     max     formula
upsg    UPS Ground      price   0.00    100.00  4.95
upsg    UPS Ground      price   100.01  200.00  7.95
upsg    UPS Ground      price   200.01  99999999  0.00

What I'd like to happen:
code    description     criteria        min     max     formula
upsg    UPS Ground      price   0.00    100.00  4.95 + field_shipping
upsg    UPS Ground      price   100.01  200.00  7.95 + field_shipping
upsg    UPS Ground      price   200.01  99999999  0.00

Suggestions?
