Starting browse1.html at other than first code

Greetings-

I am basing my store on modifications of the sample pages that come with
minivend. I have made some progess of late, enough so that I feel I might
be able to put a sensible question and understand the answer.

I like the ability to step from item to item by code at any time, so I
want to use "browse1" as the normal means to display a listing. Instead of
sending users to flypage, I want the "more info" link on results.html to
go to browse1, but start with the item corresponding to the search result.

I;m guessing that I need to pass an argument to the little perl section at
the top of browse1, but I don't read perl (or really understand minivend
as of yet) so I thought I'd check if one of you knew a good way to do it
before I re-invent the wheel.
