Sorry for the extra msg:

I have slightly adjusted Bills code to remove the pattern matching. It was not 
needed for my needs as the column bseller contains the value for [item-code] 
on those items that get this image. 

So its now:
[if data products::bseller::[item-code]]
	<IMGsrc="bseller.gif">
[/if]
