using mysql

The example minivend ("simple") is great, but gets its product information
from the flat file "products.asc."

Is there an equivalent example, all set up, which demonstrates the use of
mysql (where it connects to the mysql database, and gets the products
items to create the same--or similar--demonstration example)?
