Thanks Frank, you've renewed my faith in minivend. This works as
advertised.
I still have one small problem. When doing my search (say for CategoryB)
in a file that contains the category column with the data:
CategoryB
CategoryB:SubCategoryA
CategoryBSubCategoryC
The search [area scan
sf=category
fi=partcat
sp=catwalk
se=CategoryB]
will, understandably (depending on what is considered a word boundary),
return 'CategoryB' and 'CategoryB:SubCategoryA'.
Unfortunately, trying to get an exact match (with em=yes) doesn't
affect the search results. And after, re-reading the em and mv_searchspec
documentation, I'm not too surprised.
So my question is, "Is there a way to get the search to only succeed
if the searchspec matches the entire category field?"
This isn't a critical question, BTW, the work around is to just remove
the ':'s from the category.
Thanks again,
