PRE-PROCESS ORDER - any chance?

Hi!
Has someone alread tried to pre-process orders? E.g. checking whether the
customer confined to some minimum amount for certain products?
I tried specifying a routine for it in mv_subroutine, but unfortunately
this is processed *after* the product is placed in the cart. If this was
the only way to do it, I'd have to check the entire cart, everytime, and
remove products if necessary... Ugh.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!
