Memory Usage
****** message to minivend-users from "ANKH, Information Services" <ankh@ankhnet.com> ******
I am running one catalog with at least 5,000 records on Sun Solaris
2.5.1 on SS5 server with 32MB RAM and planning to upgrade
30,000 records . But minivend hangs after few hours. I found that
each query used more than 20MB of memory/virtual memory and
two to three simultaneous query stall everything.
Can I run minivend with my existing server. I found that even simple
catalog take at least 5-10MB of memory for one query.
Above all daemon take about 20-30MB to run.
I don't know wether this is due to size of database or actually
minivend consume so much of memory.
How to solve the problem.
Please also reply to my email address directly.
with best regards,
Dr. Ajay N. Khosl
