I think someone else already mentioned this. If you have a problem
connecting to an SQL database set MV aside for a bit and use simple
perl/DBI::DBD scripts to test your DBI, DBD and database setup.
It's a heck of a lot easier to troubleshoot a 20 line perl script
than a whole MV installation.
Once you have things working with perl/DBI the DSN you need will
be obvious.
