[tag each products] question

I want to limit my browse.html to only certain item-codes. I have set a field
<browse> and the item-codes that are to be included in browse have a value
<br>
Looking at the docs I have tried various versions of:
[tag each sf=browse se=br products] as well as
[tag each products:browse]
None of these work. Does anyone know of a way to accomplish this using
the [tag each database] tag?
I am aware that 3.12 is changing this but I am too far into this site to turn
back. This database is small so this is fast enough.
