Re: Price Structure Help
****** message to minivend-users from John Foster <jfoster@augustmail.com> ******
I am just learning about minivend but I have 30 years of experience in
running retail and wholesale business. I suggest that you use 2
ranges/categories of all your SKU/item numbers. 1 range for multi-packs
and the other for single items. In short you would use different stock
numbers for the multi-packs than the same item purchased singly. This
also is VERY helpful when tracking sales statistics and for inventory
control ourposes.
Example:
Multi-Pak: 100010010001
Single item: 100020010001
first 4 digits=general category ie socks, shirts,pants,etc
second 4 digits=sub-category ie teeshirt,golf shirt,dress shirt
third 4 digits=package range=ie multi-pak or pack size 1,10.20,100.
Any database will help in setting up this type of catalog.
Best wishes.
John
