MiniVend Returned Error

I have got the minivend server running and the catalog setup. I tried to
select one of the items from the first page and this error message was
returned:

Internal Server Error

The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was
unable to complete
your request.

Please contact the server administrator, jfoster@augustmail.com and
inform them of the
time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have
caused the
error.

Premature end of script headers: /usr/lib/cgi-bin/simple

Can anyone please tell me what to do to correct this. I am not a
programmer and am trying to set up this to run a retail website.

I have the system configured as follows:
Linux  Debian Slink 2.1 SMP
kernel ver. 2.2.1
all cgi scripts located /usr/lib/cgi-bin

Any help is greately appreciated.
Also are there any chat groups for Minivend?
