Credit Card Validation

Greetings,

I was wondering if anyone out there could help me out defining credit card
validation.  I do not really know Pearl (something about a learning curve)
and need to supplement the base credit cards that MiniVend check with a lot
more (include some unique ones to Australia).  I am also having trouble with
MiniVend checking that my credit cards are indeed valid (works, say 1 time
out of 3) I have as yet not made any major modification to the checkout.htm
or the validCC.pm files, except to add a drop down box of credit card choice
in the chechkout.html along the lines of:

When I do get a return it always marks it as a MasterCard.  I have checked
through the MiniVend mail list and noticed that my problem is not a new one.
I have also noticed the reference to the countries list WRT shipping, and I
have supplemented the existing countries table significantly.  If anyone out
there has got a site working with a customer select credit I would
appreciate hearing from you/sucking you mind/etc.
