I have been wrestling with this one too, and have basically the same
setup, ie https://machine.site-secure.net/cgi-mysite/test.cgi

This was giving a CGIwrap error, but nothing in the minivend
error log. Adding into minivend.cfg:
/cgi-mysite/mysite/test.cgi as an extra alias means that hitting
the "checkout" button now takes the user to the secure site and the
order page, but with an empty basket :( Note that extra mysite as
a directory - it makes no sense to me but then Cryptix (aka Linux)
frequently bites me like this. Note also that the SECURE_SERVER
directive in catalog.cfg should not have https:// appended to the
address.

Also, there are no images - I tried setting:
Variable SECURE_IMAGE_DIR /mysite/test/images in
catalog.cfg but this does not help. Further, hitting the "home" or
other buttons on this order page appends the secure cgi
directive onto the normal site URL, so goes nowhere.

Maybe the only real way to do this is have the same URL for
both the normal and secure servers?
