Hi, if you dont like vi then If you have an apple Mac available use
BBedit. or the free BBedit lite. It has a buit in FTP client so opening a
file on a Unix or NT box (running FTP) is like opening a local file.
BBedit is a great programmers editor with syntax colouring and hundreds
of other good stuff and yes it recognises perl.
