no telnet, so how can I install?

Hi

My problem i rather simple: my ISP does not give me the telnet option,
so I don't know how to install minivend on my site. My site is hosted on
a Linux RedHat 5.0 system.

I don't think my ISP is willing to spend time to install minivend for
me.
So do I have some other chance? Can I uncompress minivend on a local
Linux machine and then upload the files or is this not feasible?
