thanks for your reply.
I am using the latest 3.12beta6 version. There must be something elese that is in your report.html
apart from the two tags you mention. To my understanding, the [tag flag write] only makes the file
writeable and the [tag touch]  is required so that writing may take place by [data ...]. Maybe I
miss something.

Aha, I found the [data ...] embedded in a [item-list][/item-list] and in ( ) brackets in an old
report.html file of  MV 3.11!
I have tried to add it to my report.html in:
[item-list]
    ([data inventory qty [item-code] -[item-quantity] decrement])
[/item-list]
and it did not work. I have also tried increment instead of decrement and I have tried the exact
replica of Mike's [data ...] structure, but without success.
I guess we need more help on this. Neither the  ( ) brackets nor the "decrement" are documented in
my version of the docs.
