Hi,
    You may want to check the

shipping stuff

at the top of the checkout.html page.  Somewhere in there it sets the defaul
shipmode to upsg.  Also, make sure to check the country.asc file and make
sure your shipping method is listed, as well as in the top of the
catalog.cfg.
