[stuff about a new documentation project]
I may be of help here. For the past few weeks I've been re-writing the
"simple" catalog, with my own set of templates. The idea being that
punters can style-up their sites without knowing much more than a bit of
HTML (I thought the "simple" catalog was a bit of a mess :P ). Anyway..
I'll be writing "step-by-step" instructions for them to do this as soon as
I've finished working on the templates (plus some programs to edit the
products database), then further tutorials into the nitty gritty of
minivend itself afterwards. I hope to release most of this information on
the company web page for open perusal (within the next few weeks) and
will be constantly updating it. Feel free to steal my ideas when I do :)
Also, thanks to the two people who answered my square brackets question,
but this is only half my problem! I'm trying to get the square bracket
into PERL code! I know I can use "interpolate=0" for this, but I then
can't write minivend code which is conditional on this (it doesn't work
with [if-explicit]). My current solution is to write seperate perl code
which will set a scratch variable to true or false beforehand, then call
the conditional statement directly afterwards. Even so, this is ugly :P
If anybody knows of a better way to do this then help! (just don't reply
to this thread.. heh..sorry!)
regards,
