Ooops, didn't you promote your commercial product, a cgi interface, on
this list lately ? 8-)
May be my $35.00 MV hosting fee comment was non technical and formulated
to provoque a conversation about how much a MV hosting service is worth.
Other people have posted questions about it, indicating that they are
confused about the bandwidth of prices they have encountered, if they
found information about it at all.
I felt it would be o.k. to make such a comment, as Mike Heins points out
in his FAQ that he encourages people to look out for consultanting and
hosting services through this list.
If it is only acceptable to ask for pricing and services here, but not
to answer to those questions in public, I would like to know about
it. Does the charter, if there is any, forbids it ?
So then, is it o.k for someone to
ask for services and prices here ?
post his services and prices here ? in detail ?
exchange thoughts about it ?
I think Mike Heins mentioned a user-maintained list for such things is
in the working anyhow.
But mostly people are very general on those kind of lists. If I were to be
a customer looking for a MV host and possibly for consulting services, I
would certainly watch the comments made on this list and not rely on a
little ad in such a list.
Just a comment from someone representing 51 % of your potential
customer base. 8-)
