column not found

****** message to minivend-users from "Billy" <chiangt@iname.com> ******

Hi all

Here's the situation.. I've setup a page so that an in-page search will
search for something according to it's category and some brand. Whenever I
try to search for a field called "cat_id" an error in the log occurs saying
field not found.. eg ...scan/sf=cat_id/se=AB... etc
The search does return something, but usually not consistent with the DB,
but _almost_ matches the query. The field is setup in the products.asc file
as the second column. The strange thing is, when I changed the format of
the ascii DB so that "cat_id" is on the third column, everything works fine.
I've actually solved this problem, but just that I'm curious if the ascii
DB haves to have something else in place at the second column like "code"
needs to be on the first column. Or anyone have a similar problem.
This problem also occurs with all the searches.
