UserTag and if

  Does anyone have a hint as to how to incorporate a UserTag as a
comparable in an if statement? I have a UserTag that is sending me a
numeric refernce based upon date and I have a field in an Arbitrary db.
I can pull data from the db file with no problem but when I try to
incorporate an if to only pull records that correspond I get nothing. I
have also tried using the UserTag as a se in a search tag with no
results. It loads the exact [history] as the se and not the output of
UserTag history. I have been through the docs and tried several
combinations with no luck was hoping someone has done this and could
give some pointers.
