[Q] re: setting up MiniVend for the first time.

I have installed MiniVend from scratch out of the box.  With
basically no configuration parameters other than the defaults.

I then try accessing the http://server/sample directory and the sample
website comes up no problem.  But then clicking on any of the options to
do something in the art catalog gives me the error:

I have some information stating that the catalog files were not totally
updated correctly by the install script or something?  I can see there are
a lot of permission problems that could some up, which I think I took care
of, and also making sure the vlink program is SUID to the web server user. 

Do any of you know about this?  Are there some basic install issues listed
somewhere?  Is there an install FAQ?  Any install instructions, like
step-by step?
