I didn't know anything about linux in May 1998, had just heard of it. I
didn't know programming of any sort, and had never used unix of any flavor.
I was, however, comfortable on computers and had been a technician
(hardware) for several years. Now I run an ISP (no dial-ups) specializing
in eCommerce and databases and feel quite comfortable doing it. I couldn't
have done it without MiniVend and this list. Thank You all, especially
Mike.
So yes, I do think *anyone* can do this, providing they are willing to spend
the time and effort and can tell the difference between the sun and the
moon. I spend 10 - 12 hours a day, 6 days a week doing this, it does not
come naturally. But if I can learn it, indeed anyone can.
