Chained Cost Errors

I am getting this error in my error.log file in relation to my shipping costs. :
puzzlestore /cgi-ps/puzzlestore/process Too many chained cost levels for item
{'code' => 'DEFAULT','mv_price' => '14.95','quantity' => '14.95'}
I am using weight as my criteria and this field is in the products.db.
CustomShipping is set to weight. My shipping costs are not inline with the weight.
I am assuming (:-) that it is getting added 3 times because the above error. I have
tried setting the DefaultShipping to upsg. I don’t understand why it is looking at
three criteria (default,price,quanity) or has added them.
I am using ver3.12 beta released Dec98. I have updated the checkout.html to the
latest release though. Along with the update posted by Mike for setting shipping
mode.
Scanning the docs for chained costs has revieled one section which I have
reveiwed with no luck. Only more questions. Any hints on what I might look for or
try will be appreciated.
Also I have found an answer for my previous post on the [ Summary ] user tag. The
answer laid in a posting made by Mike. It in fact is a user tag he defined in the new
release to demo its potential.
