so what's in the compiled script?

I have a similar question to this one.  When I change the PERL in the
mvend/lib/Vend directory, nothing seems to happen.  is this because i need
to recompile the binary file?  how do i do that?  reconfigure?

Does anyone know what is happening inside the compiled scripts for each
store
(ie simple.cgi?)  As I'm learning MiniVend, I'm never quite sure when I
need to recompile this script to account for adjusts I've made, and when
it's save to leave it alone. Knowing a bit about what's going on inside
would help me out.
