I've found it pretty easy to integrate recaptcha into IC.  Personally I 
like to protect any sign-up pages or any pages that submit anything when 
the user is not logged in.  I assume that logged-in users are real people.

There is also rudimentary bot detection in IC where it does not assign a 
session to bots and this can be checked for in IC code.
