I think it may have to do with not putting in a NOT NULL value like
weight. You can change your database spec to allow null values or
fill it in...

I do believe we should give better feedback on this, and I will
work on that. I will probably add a function to update_data to
set something via $Tag->error() when a database insert/update
fails.
