[ic] Shipping question

I am setting up my first store and I would like to use UPS here in Canada for 
shipping.  I have downloaded the zone and rate csv files and modified those 
appropriately.  I've also setup the UPS_ORIGIN with a Canadian postal code 
(i.e. L4G 6P9   6 alphanumeric digits with a space in the middle) and when I 
try to process an order I get the following error:

Note: 1DA: Origin postal code must have five digits.

Where in the code do I begin to look to change/modify something to accommodate 
this?
