OK...  Racke's snip of code worked (not to mention Paul and Jerry)

So for those who think it is important to know what your customers are
searching for, add this line to the search results html file:

 [log hide=1 file="logs/search.txt" interpolate=1][value-extended
name="mv_searchspec" joiner="|"][/log]

I added it right after the "Begin Content" line.
