    where I attempt to gain understanding of IC's form validation.  If I am
way off base with the method I am attempting to use in my test page, just a
"you're way off" will be fine.  The thing that has me stuck is based on the
other messages in the archive concerning form validation, my code looks
correct to me.  But obviously it is not, because it does not work, as
explained in the previously referenced message.
