[ic] Reports on Sales by item

Hello all,
hope someone can help/guide me in the right direction with my question.

I am using Interchange 4.8.3 with a store based on the foundation demo. I
have played around heaps and customised the UI interface and end user
interface.

I require to create a sales report that will show me the quantity of all
items sold in a particular month. But at moment since I am still fairly new
with IC I do not know how/where to start.

If someone would be so kind to assist me I would be greatful
