[ic] Multiple Product Groups & Categories

Hi,

I hope my questions aren't too silly, but I'm a newbie to interchange ;-))

It is possible to put a product into more than one category of a product 
group ? And furthermore, can I put a product into two or more product groups ?
I tried to set this up with the GUI, but it resulted in having only empty 
categories :-(

I used a perl skript to get the data into a mysql DB for interchange and set 
up the product groups and categories with the UI. After this I wanted to add 
the product to a group and a category by using the UI. But obviously 
something went wrong because the drop down menus for Product group and 
Category in the item editor are empty.
