[ic] orders not showing up in admin

Hi list

Interchange 4.8.3
perl 5.6.0
rpm installation

I have a gap in the order numbers, they jump from W000009 to W0000014

All orders are showing up in /store/orders/ , but some of them are not 
showing up in the admin ui.

Is there a way to manually add them into the admin ui? I need them as the 
customers refer to their own orders to find out there shipping status etc.,

Also, any ideas why this should happen?
