FWIW, messages that I sent offlist were replied to onlist. As much as I
find this a fascinating topic for flamage, I never meant for it to pollute
the Interchange list like this. My sincere apologies for feeding the troll.

I'd be happy to continue discussing this offlist, but not if the people
I'm writing to publish their replies publically, ticking everyone off.
